The Pope's Exorcist (2023)

The Pope's Exorcist is a horror movie about an exorcist helping out a family through faith and sacrifice.

Directed by Julius Avery, the film has a hard time giving chills but it keeps your attention. Similar to how he did in his 2018 film Overlord. He tries to set the film up for a sequel but only the box office will know if that will ever happen.

Russel Crowe plays the exorcist, who has a peculiar sense of humor. He even comments that the devil hates humor. It definitely added a twist to the typical exorcism movie. He's changed so much from The Gladiator or American Gangster. I'm not sure it was for the better either. He certainly has a sense of humor but it can break the ambiance.

The main actress is Alex Essoe who has been under the radar but in a lot of different horror movies in the past for instance: The Haunting of Bly Manor, The Midnight Club, and Doctor Sleep. She played the part of a worried mother pretty well.

There were some moments of bad CGI but other than that the film was engaging. Result: B-

Voicemails for Isabelle is written and directed by Leah McKendrick , whose previous acting work included a small role in I Know What You Did Last Summer . Here she steps behind the camera with a romantic comedy that aims to balance humor and modern relationships, but the screenplay struggles under the weight of uneven characterization. Much of the dialogue comes across as forced, and the humor often leans into exaggerated "girl boss" moments that quickly become repetitive. The biggest weakness is that nearly every male character, with one exception, is written as either incompetent or one-dimensional, leaving the story feeling less like a balanced romantic comedy and more like a collection of caricatures. Citizen Vigilante (2026)

Citizen Vigilante is written and directed by Uwe Boll , a filmmaker whose work has always been divisive, and this film continues that trend. Surprisingly, the film often approaches these subjects from a perspective that many viewers may not expect from a major studio release.
